Session Description
Decisions about what, where and how to produce impact biodiversity. They are shaped by public policy (agricultural, fisheries, forestry and mining) incentives. Therefore, identifying the main policy instruments shaping productive practices that most pressure biodiversity, and how to reform them, is essential. How to do that? Implemented by IUCN, WWF, coordinated by Expertise France and funded by Agence Francaise de Développement (AFD), the BIODEV2030 project catalyses this dynamic since 2020 in 15 countries (12 in Africa). This approach could be replicated in many countries. What have we learnt so far? This event will briefly present the BIODEV2030 approach and provide the audience with useful insights and lessons learned. There will be a moment to exchange with the audience.Organised by
