Session Description

Private sector finance is indispensable to achieving the Global Biodiversity Framework’s Target 19, which calls for $200 billion annually to be mobilised for nature. Revenues for Nature (R4N), launched in March 2024, is driving this agenda by identifying, replicating, and scaling models that unlock private sector investment in restoration and nature-based solutions. With eight implementation partnerships already underway—representing a potential $200 million in investment—this is a pivotal moment to reflect on progress and chart the way forward. This panel discussion and interactive Q&A will bring together project developers, corporates, investors, and funders to examine practical models, collective action strategies, and enabling conditions for scaling. Participants will explore how to align private finance with measurable, nature-positive outcomes. Key objectives: Demonstrate scalable market opportunities for private investment in nature. Mobilize businesses to engage in collective action with the public sector. Identify pathways to replicate and scale nature-based investment models.
