Session Description
This interactive event unites conservation practitioners, policymakers, and community organizations to explore innovative strategies for scaling up species conservation globally. Grounded in the IUCN Global Species Action Plan (GSAP) and GSAP SKILLS Online Knowledge Platform, participants will exchange ideas and identify actions to maximize impact across the Union. The session emphasizes collaboration and innovation in tackling the biodiversity crisis, highlighting solutions that leverage cutting-edge tools, partnerships, and capacity building. It seeks to inspire large-scale efforts to prevent species extinction, reduce extinction risk, and restore native wild species. Through case studies and peer learning, participants will share experiences and discover pathways for integrating new approaches into conservation strategies.
