Why attend
Participants will gain insights into the immense value of Asia's rangelands and discover proven, community-based solutions for their conservation and sustainable management. This is an opportunity to network with key stakeholders and contribute to a regional action plan for these vital ecosystems.
Session Description
This session will convene policymakers, scientists, and pastoralist representatives from across Asia to address the critical threats facing the continent's vast drylands, grasslands, and rangelands. Building on the outcomes of a similar event at UNCCD COP13, we will showcase successful community-led conservation and restoration initiatives. The event will facilitate a dialogue to develop a collaborative regional roadmap for grassland resilience, focusing on sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity conservation, and climate adaptation. Our target audience includes government delegates, conservation practitioners, researchers, and community leaders.
