Session Description

This session aims to advance the effectiveness assessment and reporting of Protected and Conserved Areas (PCAs) by fostering a shared understanding of current frameworks and practices. Participants will begin by reviewing the status of existing reporting mechanisms and identifying strengths and gaps in outcome monitoring. The session will then explore opportunities to simplify assessment and reporting processes through innovative, tech-based solutions that enhance efficiency and accessibility. The session will also focus on identifying capacity needs—both institutional and individual—that support robust and meaningful effectiveness evaluations.
