Session Description
Subnational governments are on the frontline of the triple planetary crisis (biodiversity, climate and pollution) and must find innovative solutions to address simultaneously those urgent issues. The dynamism and complexity of the global environmental challenges forces them to conceive a new science based on unpredictability, incomplete control and the recognition of the importance of a plurality of perspectives, including a whole-of-government and whole-of-society approach.Their status quo must be reshaped with innovative governance, creative solutions and inspiring models, where the plurality of perspectives is essential to achieve this transformative change.
