Session Description
Global negotiations on a new international treaty to end plastic pollution are underway. This treaty represents an opportunity to send a signal to change our habits to create new industries, new materials, and new economic models that safeguard health and respect the environment while meeting society’s need. This panel positions itself as a contribution to that momentum: showcasing how plastic alternatives and innovations already generate viable economies while limiting adverse health and environmental impacts, and how these innovations can be scaled through collaboration. This session aims to send a clear call to action: innovation is not only possible; it is already here. Economically viable alternatives exist. This panel discussion and Q and A session will foster dialogue through knowledge sharing and the exchange of best practices, highlighting concrete solutions and innovations to tackle plastic pollution and build new sustainable economies.Speaker
