Why attend

To enable and enhance enduring impact, conservation efforts need to have access to and harness the power that technological innovations can have. Join this session to learn about these innovations and how to maximize their potential.

Session Description

Technology is empowering conservation efforts, enabling businesses to monitor biodiversity impacts, improve transparency, and scale nature-positive solutions. Technological innovation also has the potential to accelerate and unlock the use and application of established conservation tools such as the Red List of Threatened Species, as well as of new conservation mechanisms - biodiversity credits, green bonds, etc. Despite these trends, only a fraction of technological development focuses on accelerating sustainability efforts, while access to these technologies is not equally distributed. This session will highlight the latest innovations and discuss how the private sector can utilize its technological advancements for greater environmental impact while integrating safeguards and benefit-sharing.
