Aaesha AHMED ALSHEHYARI

Aaesha Al Shehyari is a Tourism Sustainability Specialist at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, where she designs and implements forward-looking projects that embed sustainability across the tourism sector. Her work spans hospitality standards and the enhancement of visitor experiences through climate-conscious practices, positioning Abu Dhabi as a leader in sustainable destinations. Formerly a UAE Nature Ambassador with Emirates Nature–WWF, Aaesha has represented youth and the UAE in global forums, advocating for nature-positive solutions and inclusive climate action. She is the author of Unseen Journey, a book exploring the hidden realities of waste and sustainability, and the creator of the EnvironmentFull podcast, which amplifies youth voices on pressing environmental challenges. By combining policy expertise, creative storytelling, and community engagement, Aaesha bridges the gap between strategy and impact, advancing sustainable tourism while inspiring the next generation to take an active role in shaping a resilient future.
