Abdrahmane WANE

Biography

Dr. Abdrahmane Wane is Principal Scientist and Regional Director for West and Central Africa at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). A development and agricultural economist with a Ph.D. from Paris-Dauphine University (France), he has extensive experience in sustainable food systems, climate finance, and resilience analysis. Before joining ILRI in 2022, he spent many years at CIRAD, leading research on agricultural transformation in low- and middle-income countries. Author of nearly 160 scientific publications, Dr. Wane is recognized for advancing livestock systems and climate change adaptation.
