Angie Melissa OREJUELA YUSTES

Biography

Angie Orejuela is a Colombian biologist driven by a deep-rooted passion for nature conservation and a strong belief in the power of collaboration. She holds a Master of Science in Behaviour, Evolution and Conservation, with a specialisation in Behavior, Economics, and Evolution, from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland.
Her experience includes supporting global and regional initiatives focused on area-based conservation, species protection, climate action, and policy advocacy. She currently works with IUCN’s Protected and Conserved Areas Team as a Young Professional, with a particular focus on the IUCN Green List, contributing to efforts that recognise and promote effective and equitable conservation.
Angie brings a multicultural perspective to her work and speaks Spanish, English, and French.
