Biography
Dr. Arundhati Jagadish is a Scientist at Nature Conservation Foundation, where she leads the Conservation Social Sciences Programme. Her work explores how locally-led conservation initiatives can scale-up to more effectively combat the climate and biodiversity crises, while also centering equity and justice. To do so, she has undertaken collaborative field research in diverse land and seascapes across three continents, including the high altitudes of the Indian Himalayas, the coastal fisheries of Fiji, and the forests of Guyana. Integrative at its core, Dr. Jagadish's work contributes to the development of inclusive conservation solutions that are at once locally specific and globally relevant.
