Biography
Bruno Smets is a senior environmental informatics specialised in spatiotemporal analysis
of ecosystems at VITO.
He is leading the Natural Capital Accounting and Biodiversity team
and shares this team lead role with managing several large projects.
He has led several Copernicus services (global land and high-resolution vegetation
phenology and productivity) and is currently leading several projects in the domain
NCA/Biodiversity (world ecosystem extent dynamics and integrated natural capital
accounting).
