Cristina EGHENTER

With over 20 years of experience in Indonesia with WWF, and building and working with civil society organizations platforms at local, national and global levels to advance equity and rights in conservation and sustainable use, I am now with WWF International and leading on elevating and advocating for indigenous tenure rights and governance at global level, and contributing to new models of shared governance in protected and conserved areas. I have been focusing on promoting women empowerment and leadership for more resilient local food systems and community economies. I have been an active member of the CBD Women Caucus, and now a member of its Board of Directors, to pursue gender equality and gender justice related to biodiversity conservation and sustainable use. I have been a Honorary Member of the ICCA Consortium and especially active in the Southeast Asia Regional network.
