Dakota Koenig is a Policy Associate for Biodiversity & Infrastructure at The Nature Conservancy, where he supports global conservation policy efforts through strategic coordination, stakeholder engagement, and event planning. With a focus on advancing implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF), Dakota contributes to initiatives that integrate biodiversity into economic development and the development of OECM guidance and supporting nature-positive approaches
His work includes organizing and contributing to major international policy events such as the IUCN World Conservation Congress and CBD COP16, helping shape TNC’s representation and messaging in multilateral spaces. Dakota also collaborates across teams to support policy submissions, track country-level targets, and facilitate internal alignment on biodiversity priorities.
