Biography
I am a tropical conservationist with over 20 years of field expertise from East Africa, Madagascar and the Asia-Pacific. I specialise in biodiversity assessments, strategic planning, landscape-scale conservation, sustainable financing and organisational / individual development. At the Hempel Foundation I created our strategy for international biodiversity grant-making for tropical forest conservation, with the aim being to ensure our philanthropy has the greatest impact possible to address the biodiversity crisis. I have a collaborative approach to grant-making, both with the implementing partners and with other donors.
