Biography
I am a tropical nature conservationist with almost 30 years of experience from East Africa, Madagascar and the Asia-Pacific. I specialise in strategic planning, landscape-scale conservation, sustainable financing, organisational and individual development, and high impact grant-making. At the Hempel Foundation I created our international biodiversity strategy, focusing on tropical forest conservation in threatened high-biodiversity landscapes, with the aim being to ensure our philanthropy has the greatest impact possible to address the biodiversity crisis. I have a highly collaborative approach to grant-making, both with the implementing partners and with other donors.
