Erwin AMAVASSEE

Biography

Erwin Jayson Amavassee is Programme Officer for BESTLIFE2030 at the IUCN European Regional Office in Brussels, where he supports EU-funded grants that strengthen biodiversity conservation and climate resilience in Europe’s Overseas Countries and Territories. Trained as a conservation scientist, he has worked across ecosystem restoration, environmental education, and sustainable development, with a special passion for the unique challenges of island ecosystems. Erwin brings both local roots and international experience to his work, always seeking practical ways to connect nature’s recovery with people’s lives.
