Florence LAVISSIERE

Biography

Florence Lavissière holds a PhD in Biology of Animal Behaviour. After 9 years at the French National Health Security Agency (Anses), she became head of the Biodiversity Protection Unit at the General Direction for Territories and the Sea in French Guiana. Since April 2023, she is the manager of the ecosystems programme at the French Committee of the IUCN. Within this programme, she leads discussions on preserving biodiversity in French forests, the actions of the French committee on Nature-based Solutions, the Red List of Ecosystems in France, and work on reconciling the development of renewable energies with biodiversity.
