Francesco Sindico is a Professor of International Environmental Law at the University of Strathclyde Law School in Glasgow, Scotland. He is also the Founder and Director of the Climate Change Legal Initiative (C2LI) and is an elected member of the Executive Board of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA) where he co-leads a Task Force on Islands and Water. Francesco has been Counsel for IUCN at the ICJ Climate Change Advisory Opinion proceedings and before that was Counsel for the Plurinational State of Bolivia in the Silala case before the ICJ. Francesco has also been seconded to the Scottish Government where he led the Carbon Neutral Islands project. He is the author of two edited collections on climate change litigation and a monograph on international law and transboundary aquifers.
