Biography

I'm an International development professional with two decades of experience in Sustainable Development, Ecosystem based disaster risk reduction, Humanitarian assistance, nature based development, disaster recovery, etc., in South Asia, South East Asia and Africa. • Facilitated International Cooperation and Bi-lateral agreement between the Governments of Sweden and Bangladesh for a joint comprehensive disaster risk management program in Bangladesh (2015). • Drafted Disaster Management Law and System that links with Climate Change Policy, Integrates Sustainable Development Goals and resonates the guidelines of Sendai Framework for Action.. • Designed and Implemented regional cooperation framework covering eight countries in the Hindu Kush Himalaya region for floods and other mountain hazards risk reduction. • Developed and Implemented large programs and projects horizontally in diverse sectors, vertically from grassroots, regional and global programming in South Asia, South East Asia, Africa and USA. • Received high level training in Sustainable business strategy from Harvard Business School Online, Evidence based Public Policy Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School, Water Diplomacy from Tufts University, Micro Masters in Leadership in International development from the University of Queensland, International Diploma in Humanitarian Assistance from University of Geneva, Humanitarian Capacity development training from Lund University, Nature Based Approaches in climate change and disaster risk reduction from IUCN & UNEP, etc.
