Biography
I am a Venezuelan early career biologist, specialising in the ecology of vertebrate apex predator populations, behavioural ecology, conservation and wildlife management. For the past five years, I have worked at the Population Ecology and Genetics Laboratory (IVIC) on conservation and ecology projects involving jaguars and other felines, and at the Ethology Laboratory (UAM) on projects to mitigate human-wildlife conflict through chemical communication. I became a member of the CPSG in 2019 and since then have participated in the training and facilitation of conservation workshops. In 2023, I was elected co-chair of the YPTF, a position I still hold today.
