Jason WONG

Biography

.Jason's interest in conservation economics stems from a love of exploring and protecting the outdoors. His main interest is in investigating alternative economic approaches that value and safeguard nature. He holds a Masters in Geography from Carleton University examining participatory approaches to natural resource management in Central Asia. 

Prior to CPAWS, Jason lived in various areas of Central Asia and worked in international development, supporting education and citizen science sectors. Overseas, he gained a depth of knowledge in structural and institutional change. He is always open to intriguing new collaborations and data-informed policymaking. Outside of work, Jason is also an open-water swimmer.
