Biography

Jean-Mary Tjiohimba is an Indigenous human rights defender and advocate for the San people, renowned for her tireless work in defending the rights of Indigenous communities. She has spoken on global platforms such as the UNFCCC, the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII), and the Commission on the Status of Women (CWS), where she passionately advocates for the rights and dignity of marginalized groups. Jean-Mary holds an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Labour Relations Management, as well as an Advanced Diploma in Management. Her influence is deeply rooted in her community, where her efforts in promoting social justice, Indigenous rights, and sustainable development are making a lasting impact.
