Jeff WORDEN

Biography

Jeff Worden is an ecologist and conservation leader with over 20 years of experience working at the interface of conservation and development. Jeff is dedicated to transforming the way we think about and implement conservation – moving from exclusion to inclusion, from disparity to equality, and from conflict to coexistence. Partnerships and inclusivity are central to Jeff’s vision for effective and durable conservation impact at scale that balances the needs of both people and biodiversity through integrated landscape approaches for a sustainable and nature positive future for all. Jeff has experience providing strategic vision and direction, thought leadership for conservation action and impact, working with partners and inspiring teams. As the Global Director of the People and Places Department within the Global Conservation Division at WWF International, Jeff works with diverse stakeholders across the WWF Network and beyond to support conservation delivery across scales - from local to global – through strategic thought leadership, catalyzing innovation, strengthening safeguards, and enhancing inclusive and integrated approaches to landscape scale interventions and impact.
