Jesús BELLIDO

Biography

Biologist and conservation professional with over 25 years of experience dedicated to reversing biodiversity loss and tackling climate change. I have authored more than 100 publications, including 22 peer-reviewed scientific papers, and bring together academic expertise with extensive practice in environmental education, citizen science, volunteer engagement, project management, communication, and policy support.

Throughout my career, I have worked on the conservation and recovery of species and habitats, from promoting citizen science and volunteering with endangered species to coordinating large-scale scientific reports that inform policy and decision-making. I am also actively engaged in local initiatives, such as the Bosque Urbano de Málaga (BUM) and the Laudato Si’ ecosocial platform in Málaga, contributing to community-based efforts for climate action, reforestation, and environmental awareness.

My vocation is to contribute to improving life on our planet. I am open to collaborating with institutions, projects, and organizations committed to creating a tangible impact for nature conservation, climate resilience, and a sustainable future.
