Jose Luis POSTIGO SANCHEZ

Biography

I am a passionate environmentalist with a background in biodiversity management and conservation research experience in different European countries and overseas, with extensive experience in Endangered and Invasive alien species, as well as Protected Areas management and Biodiversity research.

I completed my degree in Environmental Sciences and master’s degree in Biodiversity Management in Spain and France, and I will defend in September a PhD in Invasive Alien Species by the University of Málaga and the Natural History Museum of Barcelona. I have more than 7 years of experience in conservation and research projects with tuna, cetacean, bats and lesser kestrel in Spain, monk parakeets in Spain and Israel, European mink in Germany, black-tailed prairie dog and fisher in Canada and in protected areas and community based conservation in Spain and Canada.

I have an analytical, organized, multitasking and problem-solving mind. I have published 5 research papers, several research reports and coauthored 2 books, one of them edited by SEO/BirdLife.
