Liz Chamberlin

Biography

Dr. Liz Chamberlin is Director of Innovation at Point Blue Conservation Science, a California-based nonprofit dedicated to wildlife conservation and nature-based solutions. She leads Point Blue’s Innovation Group, a team of creative conservation professionals working to turn science into on-the-ground action through strategic partnerships, integrated social and ecological research, and community science. Dr. Chamberlin also co-leads the Roots Program, a $26 million initiative funded by the California Wildlife Conservation Board that supports community-centered habitat restoration projects on working landscapes statewide. Beyond her work at Point Blue, she serves on the Steering Committees of the California Global Biodiversity Alliance and the California Biodiversity Network. Dr. Chamberlin holds a BA in Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz and both an MA in English and a PhD in Ecology from the University of California, Davis.
