Manu MONGE-GANUZAS

Biography

Manu Monge-Ganuzas, PhD in Sciences (Geology Section), has been working for more than 25 years in Urdaibai UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is scientific advisor of several UNESCO Global Geoparks . He is President of the Geological Heritage Commission of the Spanish Geological Society and Vice-President of ProGEO, the International NGO for Geoconservation. He is also the ProGEO Focal-point for Europe. He is also a member of several NGOs and scientific societies, such as the SEDPGyM or Lurgaia Foundation. His work focuses on: 1. Research into the Atlantic coastal environment; 2. Environmental management and planning of internationally designated PAs and, 3.Geo-conservation on an international scale.
