Marcos VALDERRABANO HERRERO

Marcos Valderrábano is Programme Manager of the IUCN Red List of Ecosystems, based in Switzerland since 2020. He leads the Red List of Ecosystems programme implementation, fostering collaboration with partners, Commission members, and donors, while advancing capacity building and ecosystem risk assessments. His work experience spans ecosystem management and conservation across the Mediterranean, Middle East, and Latin America, covering programme development, international cooperation, on-the-ground conservation, and environmental policy.
