Marisol CASTILLO

Biography

Dr. Castillo is a lawyer specialized in Administrative, Environmental, International Law, and Water Law.

She holds a Doctorate in Law, a Master’s degree in State Administration Law, a Master’s in Human Rights, and a postgraduate diploma in Environmental Policy, Management, and Governance.

She has a career spanning over two decades as an official at the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of the Dominican Republic, first as a lawyer, later as Legal Director, and from 2021 to March 2025, she served as Director of International Agreements and Treaties at the Vice Ministry of Climate Change and Sustainability within the same Ministry.

Since April 2025, she has held the position of Executive Secretary of the Central American Commission on Environment and Development (CCAD).
