Matthew MITCHELL

I'm a Senior Researcher at the Yas SeaWorld Research and Rescue Center in Abu Dhabi, UAE. My work focuses on how individual fish respond both behaviorally and physiologically to changes in their environment and how these response scale to regulate communities and ecosystem function. Since moving to the UAE my work has focused on understanding how fishes are able to survive in the extreme environments of the southern Arabian Gulf and exploring the consequences for their functional role in coral reef communities.
