Biography
My name is Mayra Motta, I was born on January 17, 1971. I studied veterinary medicine at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala. I worked there before graduating, supporting teaching staff. I then dedicated myself to laboratory work. There, I learned different animal disease diagnostic techniques and became the director of the Regional Reference Laboratory for Animal Health (LARRSA). I served as director for nine years. I am now the Vice Minister of Agricultural Health and Regulations.
