Melanie Schweikart has been working for 3 years in the International Climate Initiative (IKI), a funding programme for climate action and biodiversity conservation projects by the German Federal Government. For 2 years, Melanie has been part of the IKI Biodiversity and Marine Conservation team as a technical project manager. Melanie is responsible for a portfolio of terrestrial biodiversity projects. Previously, Melanie worked as a student employee in IKI's coordination and controlling team while completing her Master's of Science degree in Global Change Geography at Humboldt University in Berlin and courses at the University of Copenhagen. Melanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the Humboldt University of Berlin. Prior to joining IKI, Melanie gained work experience as a data analyst, working with land use change models and geospatial data.
