Nafisa MAREI

Nafisa collaborates with youth around the world through Bow Seat to tackle issues ranging from a lack of climate awareness to ocean pollution. She also creates artwork--from poems to paintings to short stories--that explore climate change and other environmental concerns from a personal lens. 

Certified in aquaponics and currently pursuing her Permaculture Design Certificate, Nafisa is drawn to zero-waste systems of all kinds. In her work, she seeks to channel climate anxiety into action by organizing initiatives that make sustainability less overwhelming. Whether writing about ecosystems, collaborating on art projects, or experimenting with closed-loop food systems, Nafisa approaches environmental work with the conviction that solutions must come from unexpected intersections.
