Naim NACHID

Biography

A trained forester, a graduate of the National Forestry Engineering School of Salé in Morocco, specializing in Ecology and Natural Resources Management, I worked in the Water and Forestry Administration in the fields of hunting or beginning for 7 years, then in protected areas for the rest of my career from 1993 to the end of 2013. Director of the Tazekka National Park, then Head of the Parks and Nature Reserves Service in the Northeast region of Morocco. Then, Coordinator of the Protected Areas Management Project financed by the Global Environment Facility and managed by the World Bank. After my early retirement from January 2014, I worked in studies as an independent consultant in the field of protected areas (Planning and Management). Also, I gave vacation courses from 2006 to 2016, then in 2021 and 2022 at the Forestry School of Engineers on the Development and Management of Protected Areas with all the components for future engineers specialized in Protected Area Management. Currently, I am Head of Mission of a project funded by the FFEM at the Ifrane National Park in Morocco entitled "Implementation of outdoor activities for the benefit of biodiversity in the Ifrane National Park" (2023-2027).
