Ola DABABNEH

Biography

Ola is a gender specialist with experience in biodiversity conservation and protected area management. As Gender Officer at IUCN ROWA, she integrates gender considerations into conservation programs and policy frameworks. She holds a Master’s degree in Women’s Studies from the University of Jordan and has contributed to national strategies, including Jordan’s National Strategy for Women (2020-2025), and the SDG Voluntary National Review. She has collaborated with UN agencies, government institutions, and international partners on gender equality and environmental governance. Her work focuses on gender-responsive planning, Nature-based Solutions, and community engagement in protected areas. Ola's expertise aligns with the objectives of the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA).
