Oliver TALLOWIN

Biography

Oliver Tallowin is a senior conservation scientist with over seven years of experience in sustainable wildlife trade, specializing in species-related multilateral environmental agreements such as CITES. He has led and co-managed complex, multi-stakeholder projects that integrate biodiversity data, policy analysis, and innovative tool development to support evidence-based decision-making in conservation. His collaborative work with the IUCN Species Survival Commission, including Red List assessments and specialist group contributions, reflects a deep engagement with global species conservation efforts. Oliver’s leadership in project planning, strategic delivery, and stakeholder collaboration positions him to drive IUCN’s mission in species, sustainable use, and trade at a senior programme level.
