Olivier HABIMANA

Biography

Olivier Habimana is an experienced program manager and agro-ecological economist with expertise in climate resilience, market systems development, sustainable finance, private sector development and public policy. He has over 18 years experience in international development working for INGOs, UN, and development financial institutions, where he designed, managed, monitored, and evaluated large, complex and multicounty programs funded by bilateral and multilateral financial institutions including GCF and GEF with a focus on agriculture, forestry, climate change and renewable energy projects in 12 African countries in East, Southern, and Western Africa regions. Olivier currently leads the delivery of GEF and GCF projects and programs of IUCN in the East and Southern Africa Region. Olivier hold a MSc with Food and Agriculture Policy, a MBA in Sustainability Leadership, and holds a PhD in Sustainable Development.
