Personal Statement
I have nearly four decades experience in university teaching, research, and community outreach services, academic leadership, networking processes and institutional governance. I have researched on rangelands; land reform impacts, climate change adaptation, sustainable livelihood systems, and One Health; working on diverse rangeland socio-ecological systems including communally managed areas to transfrontier conservation areas.
I have been principal investigator/team member of research projects funded by IDRC, British Council/DfID, CIDA, EU, CIRAD, ACIAR , WELCOME
Co-authored books include: Climate change impacts, vulnerability and adaptation in Zimbabwe; Migration, Rural Livelihoods and Natural Resources Management.; Managing natural resources for development in Africa: A resource book; The livestock sector after the fast track land reforms in Zimbabwe.; Tropical legumes for sustainable farming systems in Southern Africa and Australia.
