Rabab AL LAWATI

Biography

Rabab Al Lawati is an early-career wildlife and conservation biologist and, until June 2025, served as the Conservation Outreach Coordinator at the Environment Society of Oman (ESO), Oman's first and only NGO dedicated to protecting and conserving Oman’s natural heritage. At ESO, she played a central role across research and conservation programmes, including projects focused on cetaceans, particularly the Arabian Sea humpback whale, marine turtles, Egyptian vultures, lappet-faced vultures, and frankincense trees. Her contributions spanned the development of science communication materials, the design of research databases, community engagement, and collaboration with local stakeholders. She remains committed to broadening her experience and advancing conservation through research, effective management, and collaboration. Rabab holds a Bachelor’s degree in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from La Trobe University (Melbourne, Australia).
