Rachel BOERE

Biography

Rachel Boere (she/her) is a settler based in Canada who leads at the intersection of climate, nature/biodiversity, and social justice. With over a decade of experience spanning communications, operations, and programming, she is an expert at supporting organizations through early growth stages, from establishing Youth4Nature as a global climate-nature leader to launching and formalizing new programs at SOI Foundation, Ottawa Tool Library, and Parks Canada. She has driven initiatives like distributing microgrants to grassroots initiatives across Canada, developing global youth storytelling campaigns, and launching a nature-based solutions accelerator in Kenya. Rachel’s digital campaigns for youth- and justice-focused NGOs have reached more than 1.5 million people, translating complex issues into action. In co-designing programs and spaces, she nurtures communities that empower people to lead and show up authentically. Beyond projects and outcomes, Rachel is passionate about reimagining “business as usual” by practicing people-first organizing and exploring alternative ways of working that puts care at the centre of climate action. She is committed to amplifying frontline voices, fostering cross-cultural collaboration, and creating joy-filled systems that nurture people and communities to thrive.
