Rebecca STERN

Biography

Rebecca Stern is a forest ecologist with a decade of experience in nature and climate change research and application. She has expertise in quantifying corporate nature risk in line with global regulations and frameworks such as the CSRD, TNFD, and Science-Based Targets for Nature. Rebecca has worked with companies across numerous industries to assess nature risk throughout their value chain. As Chief Science Officer at Dunya Analytics, her mission is to ensure the scientific integrity of the platform and its alignment with established methodologies, and maintain the transparency of its methods in an easily understandable way.

Rebecca holds a masters degree in Science Education and a PhD in Natural Resources. During her PhD, she researched the link between climate change and tree growth in the Northeastern forests of the US. She previously worked as a sustainability consultant, focusing on nature risk analysis, Natural Climate Solutions and Nature-based Solutions, and physical climate risk analysis.
