Salem ALZAHMI

Biography

Dr. Salem Alzahmi is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University, where he has served as a faculty member since July 2015. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, USA. Over the course of his tenure, Dr. Alzahmi has held several key administrative positions within the College of Engineering, including Head of the Graduation Projects Unit (2017–2019), Assistant Dean for Student Affairs (2019–2023), and Vice Dean of the College (2023–2025). He currently serves as the Assistant Dean for Research and Graduate Studies (2025–present). Dr. Alzahmi’s research focuses on the design, development, and application of electrodeposited nanomaterials. His current projects explore areas such as energy harvesting, energy storage materials, additive manufacturing, and materials recycling.
