Biography

Agricultural Engineer with specialised in Agroecology, Protected Areas, Nature Conservation, and financial mechanisms. Master's student in International Cooperation for the Development of Peoples. Postgraduate studies in environmental finance, clean development, and management and negotiation of environmental conflicts. 30 years of experience in Bolivia, both in the public and private sectors at the level of management in Biodiversity Conservation, Climate Change, and Sustainable Development. 20 years of main experience in strategic and financial planning, design, and implementation of financial mechanisms for biodiversity conservation, climate change, and local sustainable development, building sustainable financing systems. Since 2004 to date, Executive Director of the Bolivian Environmental Fund, FUNDESNAP (Foundation for the Development of the National System of Protected Areas - Bolivia), a member of the Network of Environmental Funds of Latin America and the Caribbean (REDLAC), the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the Amazone Regional Action.
