Dr. Ayadi-Maasri, president and lead scientist/geologist at ACE-Association for Community and Environment (www.ace4ce.org), focuses in her work on the valorisation of geodiversity, protection of cultural and natural heritage, awareness raising on geo-Ethics and geo-hazards, and community development through resilience to climate change. She teaches and coordinates Geology and Environment at the Faculty of Sciences and the School of Engineering at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, Lebanon.
Dr. Ayadi-Maasri is on the Governing Board for the GeoEhtic Commission for the International Union of Geological Society (IUGS) and is a GeoExpert within the GoGeopark platform (www.gogeoparks.com/experts). She is also the Geologist expert for the Shouf Biosphere Reserve (http://shoufcedar.org) and a WCPA Commission member for the International Union for Conservation of Nature – IUCN.
She is a regular speaker at international workshops and scientific events related to Geoparks, valorization of geosites and natural resources and interlinkages between geological sciences and biodiversity and ecological systems.
