Susana Filipe is the Executive Director of CHANGE – Institute for Global Changes and Sustainability, an organization with over 350 Researchers, that promotes scientific research to inform the design and evaluation of public policies in environmental, agricultural, economic, and social sectors, applying an integrative perspective. With 20 years of international experience across Europe and the Middle East, in universities, research institutes, and multinational companies, she has worked across various contexts, having focused on initiatives developing and promoting more efficient and sustainable approaches.
As a co-coordinator of the Montado Living Lab, Susana Filipe is dedicated to the sustainability in the Montado agroforestry system. This project, certified by the European Network of Living Labs, focuses on developing and promoting practices that improve soil health, restore tree cover, and foster ecological and socio-economic balance. The initiative uses a collaborative and transdisciplinary approach, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders, including academia, associations, Montado owners and managers, public administration, and private companies.
