Susana Tuisese is Vice President for Conservation International’s Pacific Islands and Oceans Program. She has a Bachelor of Science from the University of the South Pacific and Master’s Degree in forestry and natural resource economics from the Australia National University and University of Queensland. She served as the Conservator of Forests in the Fiji Ministry of Forest, followed by a short stint in the private sector in the pine industry prior to becoming the Country Director of Conservation International Fiji in 2012. In 2020, she took the role of Senior Director for CI’s Pacific Islands and Oceans Program and became Vice President for the Pacific in 2023. In this role, she leads CI’s work, strategic partnership and community engagements across the region the Pacific.
