TADEO AJUNA

Biography

Tadeo Ajuna is the Program Coordinator at YPARD and currently serves as the YPARD-Uganda Co-Country Representative and YPARD-UNCCD Focal Person. He is a former member of the YPARD Steering Committee, where he played a key role in advancing youth engagement in Agrifood systems. Tadeo previously served for seven years at the Uganda Agribusiness Alliance (UAA) a ugandan NGO as the Platforms/Value Chains/Food Systems Officer, leading initiatives to strengthen agrifood systems, enhance market efficiency, and promote equitable value chain participation. He is a certified Trainer of Trainers in Agroecology, a Global G.A.P Farm Assurer, and Chairperson of the Policy and Advocacy Working Group of the Food Safety Coalition of Uganda. Tadeo was a 2022 International Monetary Fund Fellow and has led reforestation campaigns and global advocacy on climate justice. Tadeo is a passionate farmer and public speaker, he is committed to mentoring youth and fostering inclusive, sustainable food systems across Africa and beyond
