Teppei DOHKE

Biography

Born in Tokyo in 1980, Teppei DOHKE holds a Master’s degree in Humanities (Philosophy) from Chiba University. Since 2004, he has been with the Nature Conservation Society of Japan (NACS-J), serving as one of Japan’s leading NGO experts on the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). He monitors and analyzes global biodiversity trends, including within the CBD and IUCN, and works to strengthen biodiversity conservation in Japan. As part of the Secretariat of IUCN-Japan, he disseminates international policy to domestic stakeholders and fosters collaboration with Japanese companies, NGOs, municipalities, and government agencies. His recent focus includes advancing the Nature Positive agenda, promoting Nature-based Solutions (NbS), engaging future generations, and fostering green jobs.
