Vinamra is the Director for the Biodiversity Indicators Program at the Colorado Natural Heritage Program. He brings over a decade of professional experience working on issues at the intersection of forest conservation and policy, with expertise spanning forest governance, ecosystem services evaluation, and advocacy for the rights of Indigenous Peoples and frontline communities. Previously serving as the Asia Pacific Regional Director at Youth4Nature, he advanced youth advocacy and capacity building on the climate-nature nexus within global conventions, including the CBD and UNFCCC. He is in the final stages of finishing his Ph.D. in Sustainability Science from the University of Tokyo. He holds a Master's degree in Environmental Governance with a Specialization in Biodiversity from the United Nations University in Tokyo and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University of Manchester.
